Discouragement can knock you to your knees. I don’t care who you are or what you name is. We all face it and it sometimes gets the best of us. It’s like having a slow leak in your car tire. It’s no big deal. I will stop and get some air. Three days later you warning light goes off again. Now it is starting to get on my nerves. The leak seems to get worse as times goes on and you are having to stop more often. Have you ever notice there is never a good air pump around when you need one. Sometimes it’s better to go ahead and take care of the problem in the beginning before it gets worse. Satan wants the church to be overwhelmed with discouragement. But I want to give you something to fight back with. Psalms 37:4-7. When you are pushed in the corner of discouragement fight back! Delight yourself in the Lord. Come into His presence. Worship him. We have to take our eyes off off self and focus on the true love of God. Then he will give you the desires of your heart. Stay true to what the Lord has told you. When discouragement comes we begin to doubt God and His promises. In verse 5 it say, “Commit you ways to God; trust him and he will do this. Today, be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. God’s heart is to Delight you, Deliver you and Develop you. Overcome!!!
