I had someone to ask me the other day, “Why to I spend so much time writing those devotions every morning?” I paused for just a second and said, “This is my passion. This is what God has called me to do with the rest of my life.” God is calling me to take in His Word and devour it! To dive deeper and discover all His great truths but I am also called to share it! That is what I will be doing till I take my last breath.
God has put an urgency in my spirit! I am in a new season of ministry and I am excited about what God has for me. I want to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who are empty and struggling in life. I want to encourage those who have wondered away from God. It breaks my heart to see a child of the King living on the “streets of this world.” My call is to encourage those who want to go deeper and to give them everything they need to be equipped!
I look back on my life and ask God many questions. I am not sure why I took certain turns but it was all part of His plan. There were a lot of questions that ended in why. These 51 years have been a journey and God has brought me a long ways but I still have a ways to go. He has showed me so much about myself! He has shown me my weaknesses and my strengths. 51 years of preparation. Thank you Lord for being patient. Lord, find me faithful!
Discover the passion God has placed in you. Develop it and grow it. Then deploy it! Don’t forget that opportunities widen for those who patiently prepare. Watch how the peace of God will take over! 2 Thessalonians 2:15 encourages us to stand firm and hold on to the teachings. I pray that you will be found faithful! Have a great Thursday.
