Willingness To Look Foolish

Sometimes faith is the willingness to look foolish. How about Noah building a ark in the middle of a desert? I bet Moses looked pretty foolish asking Pharaoh to let his slaves go. I know the Israelite Army has to look pretty foolish marching around Jericho yelling and blowing a trumpet! What about that little boy going to fight an armed giant with a sling shot? I think that was pretty foolish! How about that guy called Peter? How foolish was it for him to get out a perfectly good boat in the middle of a lake to try and walk on water to Jesus?

But the results speak for themselves! Noah built that boat and it floated and it saved his family. Pharaoh let the children of Israel go and God worked many crazy miracles on their journey to their new home! The Israelite army marched around Jericho raising cain and the walls came tumbling down! How crazy is that? We all know how the story of David and Goliath went! Big boy fell at the feet of a shepherd boy because of his willingness to look foolish. Peter did something that no one else has ever done except Jesus. He walked on water!

If we aren’t willing to look foolish, we’re foolish. That is why so many people have never built an ark, become a national leader, killed a giant, experience a great victory, or walked on water. What has God put in your heart? Don’t be scared to step out on faith and do what He is calling you to do. He blesses obedience! Have an awesome weekend.
