I discovered a short story about a women shouting at her son who was hiding under the bed on a Sunday morning, crying, refusing to go to their church that had been having some problems. “Come out this minute!” the woman shouted. “You are ruining your suit!” “I don’t care about my suit.” the son said. “You have to go church.” “Tell me one good reason,” the son said. “I will tell you three!” Because people are depending on you, because it honors God, and because you are the pastor! I hope that isn’t your pastor.🤪
Romans 12:4-6 says, “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not have the same function, so in Christ we who form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.
When we discover the fact that we are called and gifted by God, it changes how we see ourselves and that is so freeing! Nothing is more motivating and encouraging than doing what we are called and created to do. We are a small piece of a huge puzzle, without you, the picture is not complete! God hasn’t gifted anybody to do everything. We need each other. Use your gift! Share it with the world, and overcome the fear, leave behind the excuses, and step out. God has created you for service.
It’s time to bloom! Discover you gift, find your place, and glorify God with your talent. You will never possess what you are unwilling to pursue. Love y’all!
