Paul wrote Colossians 4:2-4 and said, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I proclaim it clearly, as I should.”
This may sound crazy but this was the only way I could remember what to pray! Potatoes With Tomato’s, Rock. This may not make sense to you but it is perfectly clear what I am praying over you this morning.
First, I am praying that you would be steadfast in you prayers! That you will stay alert and don’t allow Satan to rock you asleep. In every situation, turn to God in prayer. Continue in that unbroken conversation with the Heavenly Father. Run with endurance and keep your eye on the finish line.
Secondly, I pray that you will be watchful. In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus told his disciples in Mark 14:38, “Watch and pray, so that you will not fall into temptation.” Be watchful of what is going on around you and always be aware of Satan’s schemes. But also be watchful of hurting people and people in need. Have your spiritual eyes open at all times.
The third thing I want to pray over you today is to have a heart of thankfulness. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 says, “Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.” Sometimes we forget how blessed we are. If you want to bless the heart of God, learn to thankful. At the top of ever hour, stop and thank God for a blessing in your life.
Last but not least, I pray over you readiness. We need to be ready to share the Good News of Jesus Christ! We need to be prepared to love people and willing to step out of our comfort zone. Lord, give us the courage, passion, and desire to see others come to Christ! We have to be ready!
Potatoes With Tomatoes Rock. Pray for: Persistence, Watchfulness, Thankfulness, and Readiness! God bless you!
