Let His Love Grip You

It is Friday morning and God is so good! You may be walking through a difficult situation today but it doesn’t change the fact that God loves you. Instead of running away, building up a wall, or living a life of rebellion. Turn to God and let Him love on you this morning!

Know this, our spiritual failures do not affect God’s love for us. His love doesn’t fluctuate according to how our day goes or how well we do in life. We must be gripped by the truth that we are accepted by God for the sole reason that we are united to His beloved Son.

This is why Paul could celebrate the love of God. In Romans 8, Paul asked a couple of questions:

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?

Who is he that condemns?

Who shall separate us from the love of God?

In Romans 8:38-39, Paul writes this, “For I am convinced that neither death or life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height or depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.” If we could ever understand how deeply God truly loves us, it would stimulate us to an increase devotion to Him!

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 says, “For Christ’s love compels is, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

Let His love grip you this morning and let go of the reins of your life! Maybe for the first time in your life, stop living for self. But begin to live a life for the One who laid down His life for you. What would that look like? How would that change your life? Whose life would be different because of that change in your life?

You are loved by the God of this universe! Let that go deep this morning. God bless you this morning and please continue to pray for Branson’s family.
