Be Willing To Wait

Good morning my friend! I hope you got plenty of rest last night. Before we start our devotion this morning, I want to encourage you to tell God one thing you are thankful for. Take just a few seconds and give Him some praise. He enjoys that!

I don’t know about you, but I am a very impatient person. I can not stand to wait in line or get stuck in traffic. I remember growing up as a kid and having to wait for Christmas to get here! What about that Thanksgiving meal? Let’s just take it out of the oven and eat it now! I love how God will take my weakness and bring it to the forefront of my life, and begin to teach me and coach me up! I have never been a fast learner.

What about Mary and Martha? They had to wait! Their hope faded when their brother Lazarus died. Jesus didn’t come when they sent for Him. But God has a greater purpose in mind than just meeting their expectations. What was the greater miracle: healing Lazarus or bringing him back to life. God always has a greater good in mind. We can’t forget, our spiritual insight is limited, but God sees it all. God has a plan, and if we are wise, we will wait for Him to reveal it to us!

I know, waiting on God is so hard and trying to understand His timing is even harder! I want to encourage you this morning, while you wait, wait in a way that pleases Him. This waiting is a time of preparation and rest. Enjoy it as much as you can and be faithful in the reading of God’s Word!

I am looking forward to God’s greater good for my life! Be willing to wait, and don’t rush perfection! God bless!
