Be That Source of Encouragement

Good morning friend! I hope you had a great Saturday to spend with friends and family. We of course, were on the road watching soccer and loving every minute of it. It is always good to meet new people and develop new relationships. I hope you enjoy you time of worship today!

Growing up as a child, I always enjoyed the story of David and Goliath! But I always felt sorry for David because it seemed like no one really believed in him! Think about it, there was no one word of encouragement spoke to David in his quest to kill the giant. Not one word. The soldiers laughed at him. His own brothers were embarrassed by his presence and wanted him to go home. Even king Saul doubted him but who else was crazy enough to face the Goliath? If he had listened to their comments, he would have given up, wouldn’t you? Instead, David turned his heart to towards God, and it was there he found the encouragement he needed!

There will be times when we feel as if we are facing our Goliath alone. When you arrive at that place in life, go to Hebrews 13:5 and hold on to God’s promise for you! It says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Trust in this word today.

I have seen negative words and critical people destroy people’s lives! God is calling for us as believers to be that that source of encouragement and to point others to Jesus Christ! Be that person who speaks life and hope into other people marriages, their dreams, and their walk with God! Be that son or daughter of encouragement! This is my heart and this is my calling till I take my last breath. Lord, you have given me everything I need to fulfill my calling. Open wide your doors of opportunity to minister and to love on others!

God bless you!!
