Good morning! Can you believe it’s already Monday? It is amazing how fast the weekend flies by. But I am looking forward to the blessing of today! Let’s make our Monday count! Take time to encourage one person today.
Before Jesus was arrested, Jesus told his disciples, “Peace I leave you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives. Do not let your heart and do not be afraid.” John14:27. Jesus knew the days after his crucifixion would be full of heartache, disbelief, fear, and anxiety. Jesus knew the peace of God was the one thing that would stabilize the hearts and minds of his disciples.
To say the least, our world is very chaotic. But nothing we face today is beyond His reach! There is no problem that he can not solve. There is no stress that is to much for Him to calm. Jesus understands the pressures of this world. He faced these same pressures and He overcame them with victory.
In Luke 5:1-3, Jesus is speaking to the crowd, and the people were all around him wanting to hear his words as he taught. Because people were pressing against Him, Jesus stepped into Peter’s boat and asked him to move away from the shoreline. He adjusted to the pressure so He could continue to be effective in His delivery of His message.
We may have to adjust to the pressures that God allows to come our way. He will provide a path through the difficulty. He is our provider and He will show us the way! No matter what is on your mind or the situation you are facing today, rest in His love! I pray over you peace today that only God can give. Keep pressing forward and trust the Lord with all your heart!
See you tomorrow!
