The Keys to Staying on Track

Good morning! I made it back home. Thank you for your prayers!

Luke 2:52 says, “Jesus grew is wisdom and stature, and favor with God and men. You heard me say this before, but Jesus was the total package. He had balance in his life. Just like Jesus, we need balance in our lives. I want to give you four things this morning that will help you to have continual growth in your life.

1. Have a spiritual mentor and be involved in a small group. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. We need community and we need encouragement!

2. Give yourself regular spiritual checkups. God’s Word says in Lamentations 3:40, “Let us examine our ways and test them and let us return to the Lord.” Sometime we have to reset! Ask your some serious questions about your spiritual growth and your relationship with Jesus Christ. Set aside time every couple of months to check your spiritual health.

3. Write down your progress in a war journal. Record what God is doing in your life! Even write down the hard life lessons you had to learn along the way. Hebrews 2:11 says, “We must pay careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we don’t drift away.” Write down your doubts, fears, you victories, and defeats. God will use all of this to mold you and shape you. Plus it is always good to go back and see just how faithful God is!

4. Pass on what God has shown to you to others. If you want to grow, teach others what God has shown you! Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” God has called each of us to be His messengers. We are to share the truth of God Word and to tell the world that Jesus is alive and well. Invest in others.

Blessed are the balanced. Haha. Stay on track and continue to grow in your walk with Jesus Christ. I hope you all have a great Hump Day!
