God loves to use weak people. Think about it, we all have weaknesses. Usually I try to deny it and even try to cover them up. It’s amazing how God changes our thinking the older we get. I have always thought that God only wants to use our strengths, but He also wants to use our weaknesses too.
1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the wise.” Your weaknesses are not an accident! God uses your weaknesses in your life to demonstrate His power through you. God loves taking ordinary people, in spite of their flaws, to do extraordinary things! If God only used perfect people, nothing would ever get done!
If you want to be used by God, we must first be willing to admit our weaknesses. Stop pretending you have it all together. Drop the side show and let people see who you really are. Real ministry begins with vulnerability. We have to learn to take off our masks and be willing to share your own struggles. At some point in our life, we must decide if we want to impress people or influence people! People will begin to trust you not by being perfect, but by being honest.
Jesus spoke in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Are we limiting God’s power in our lives by trying to hide our weaknesses? Stop the pretense and get real with God and others. That is where real ministry begins. I hope you have a great weekend! God bless.
