Good morning everybody! I hope you got a good nights rest. I sure did, I forgot to set my alarm again last night, and overslept! So I am rushing around the house to catch up. Let’s jump right into God’s Word this morning.
In John 12:23-50, Jesus predicts His crucifixion. But I want to zoom in on verses 27 and 28. John 12:27-28 Jesus says, “Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!” I have read this before but it has never grabbed my attention like this! Jesus stood at a fork in the road. Would He fulfill His purpose and bring glory to His Father? We all know that Jesus didn’t shrink back or live for his own self-centered purpose. He willing died for the sake of mankind to fulfill His purpose!
Are we living for our own goals and our own pleasures? Are we living life for His glory? It all come down to one question. Who are you going to live for? Yourself or God? Real life begins by fully committing yourself completely to Jesus Christ! Romans 11:36 says, “For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory.”
Living for God’s glory is a decision we will have to make. Yes, it may mean changing around our priorities, schedule, the way we spend money, and our friendships! It will sometimes mean choosing a difficult path? But there is nothing like fulfilling your purpose in life and be totally content! I want to encourage you to take time to evaluate your life, and ask God is your life pleasing to Him. I know, it’s a tough question to ask God! Go ahead, I dare you. I hope you have a great Wednesday! Love you guys!
