Happy Thanksgiving! My girls made it home and our house is full. We have a day filled with activities which starts with a race in downtown Leesburg, lunch at my parents house, and then we will travel to Moultrie, Georgia to hang with some of the Durham family! But before all that, I get to seat here alone in the presence of God and reflect on the many blessings of God! To say the least, I am overwhelmed! At the age of 53, I feel like my ministry has just begun! After all these years of preparation, He is about to reveal my calling! Thank you Lord for your patience and your amazing love.
Psalm 100:1-5 says, “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” God is good and God is for me! On your feet Church-applaud the living God for He is worthy! Take time to take a snap shot of that in your mind. Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourself into the presence of God. Thank Him, worship Him! Don’t forget who our creator is. He made us, we didn’t make him. Enter into His presence with the password: “Thank you!”
I want to encourage you in the business of today, make sure to take the time to bow your head, and say thanks. Psalm 103:1-5 says, “Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all our diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things!” On your feet and thank Him! On your feet and praise Him this morning! God bless you and this special day. Love y’all!
