Have you ever been given a vision of what God wants you to do, and you can’t wait to see it come to pass? It’s like waiting for Christmas, but a 1000 times more intensified! But God calls you to wait. Habakkuk 2:2-3 the Lord gives His prophet a word that I want to share with you this morning. The Lord said to Habakkuk, “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

I want to encourage you this morning, if God has put something on your heart or placed passion in your soul, write it down and date it! Make it plain and clear because you may need it down the road as a reminder. Though this vision or promise of God may linger, I want to encourage you to wait for it! Don’t settle for anything less and don’t give up. A true vision from God always requires patience. I don’t know about you, but I hate waiting. Waiting on God is our job. Waiting is working! But waiting works!

But as you wait, I want to encourage you to pray. Pray, and don’t rush into this vision without all your instructions! Prayer will always help you to see what you don’t even know to look for. Think about that! Pray for an opportunity to use your gift and passions for the glory of the Lord. But also pray for God’s favor. My life verse is Luke 2:52 and it says, “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. We don’t need more money or more talent but, we need God’s favor! Don’t forget, favor doesn’t force, it flows. There is an old saying that goes like this: Good things come to those who wait. I want to change it a little bit to: God things come to those who wait! Love y’all.
