It would be great if we could get along with everybody, but we all will have a few run ins along the way. There will be times when we will need to forgive, and forgiveness will be the last thing on our mind. I want to share Colossians 3:12-14 with you this morning, it say, “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, cloth yourself with compassion and kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievance you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Another version says, “Chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be ever tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you.” It maybe hard to receive this word this morning but God has put this in front of you for a reason!
Who do you need to forgive this Christmas season? Whose face has God placed before you this morning? I want to encourage you this morning to swallow your pride, put on love, and be obedient to what God is telling you to do. Never forget what God has forgiven you. I hope you have a great Saturday! God bless.
