Pure Heart

Good morning! I hope you are doing well. John 3:30 says, “He must become greater, I must become less.” This short verse really packs a pouch! Think about this, God must increase and I must decrease. O how we need to die to self and crave a pure heart.

Let’s start it off with a question this morning. What do you think of when you hear the word pure? Most think of purity as the elimination of evil or the absence of contamination. That is true, but the second part that is often left off is the desire and commitment to one thing. For instance, take pure gold. Not only is pure gold free of dirt and grim, but it is also free from other valuable things such as silver or diamonds. A pure heart is a heart that wills, seeks, and wants one thing! It’s where every decision and every choice is totally surrendered to God. God yearns for us to have a pure heart. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Are you all in? What does your heart look like this morning? I pray over you a pure heart that wills, and seeks, and want one thing! A heart that is totally surrounded to God. Have a great Tuesday.
