Psalm 118:1-6 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say: “His love endures forever.” In my anguish I cry to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid!” Rise up Church! Do not be afraid, the Lord is with us! God bless.
It’s finally Saturday! It has been a long and crazy week here at the Taylor’s. But I am encouraged through the Word of God daily. It is my heart and my passion to share with you the encouragement that He gives me every day. Durning these times of uncertainties, I want to encourage you to dive deep with the Lord! Don’t sit in fear and worry, but open up the Word and worship! Put your hope and trust in the One that is in control. His name is Jesus.
Let’s look at the nugget of truth that God gives us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-6. Paul writes and says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flows over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same suffering we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings; so also you share in our comfort.”
All praise to the God of heaven and earth! He is the Father of all mercy. He comes alongside of us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who needs that same encouragement that we just received from the Father! We are all out of our comfort zone and our world is in a frenzy, but God is opening the doors of ministry all over the world. Let the world see the overflow of our hearts of comfort, peace, and love. Just as Christ has come along side of you, pull up beside someone who needs comforting or encouraging. It’s time for the Church to be what God designed us to be! God is calling us to be Hope Dealers and to share His message of Jesus Christ with those around us. Lord, open our eyes to see what you see and let us to be willing to do something about it. God bless you and your family.
This world is a crazy place right now. Things are happening that I have never seen before. But when things get crazy in this world, God seems to do His greatest work! Sure, I don’t want to work from my house with sorry internet service. I don’t like going to the grocery store seeing empty shelves, and I miss gathering together and worshiping with family and friends. But through it all, God is in control! Lord, help me not to complain and grumble, but show me how I can encourage others, and be a part of what you are doing!
There are 4 things God has called His Church to do today. First, be humble and kick selfish pride to the curb. We need to take self off the throne of our hearts. Secondly, we need to pray like we have never prayed before! There is a spiritual war going on and we need to unite together and pray for healing and revival! Thirdly, we need to seek His face and not His hands. We need to run to God and desire His presence more than anything! Last but not least, we need to repent! We need to fall our faces before God and confess our sins. It time that we get real with Him and take care of our filthy heart.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked way, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.” Amen! But notice how this verse start out, “If my people.” We have a choice; to be obedient or do our own thing. We need healing. Our nation needs healing. Our world needs healing! Not from the Coronavirus but from sin. But this scripture ends with a promise. If the Church does their part, then God will do a glorious work! He will forgive our sins and heal this land. God always backs up His promises. We just have to do our part! God bless you and your family!
Do you need to hear something that is positive and encouraging? Are you tired of hearing about the Coronavirus and Tom Brady leaving the Patriots? I don’t know about you, but I need some good new! If you have a second, let’s dive in to God’s Word this morning. I hope you can receive this and soak in it all day!
Romans 8:35-39 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered .” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
That’s is our good news that we need to spread today! We are loved by the King of kings, and no matter what we come against, His love for us never changes! You are a conqueror, a mighty warrior, and a child of the living God. Head up Church, it’s time to move forward, stay positive, and share his good news to the world. See you tomorrow.
We live in a world of uncertainty! Stocks can be soaring one day, and drop 2000 points the next day. Retirement was just around the corner but now, it might be pushed out a couple of years. You can be completely healthy today and fighting for your life next year. That job you had for over 20 years just gave you the pink slip! How in the world will you put food on your table and pay your bills? That person you leaned on for so many years, just past away! In this world of uncertainty, there is something that never changes. Gods love for us and His Word will never fade, never fail us, and never change! In hard times, and in times of uncertainty turn to the Rock of my salvation.
I want to give you some reassuring hope this morning found in God’s love letter to us. Psalm 27:1-3 tells us this, “The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is my stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. When evil men advance me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Thought an army besieged me, my heart will not fear; though war breaks out against me, even then will I be confident.” When fear overcomes you, hold on to Isaiah 43:1-3 which says, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
Hold on to Psalm 121:1-8! I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will never slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will never slumber or sleep. The Lord watches over you-he Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lordwill keep you from harm-he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
God has a plan. He is never surprised! God didn’t save Daniel from the lion’s den, but He saved him in the lion’s den. He doesn’t get us out, he gets us through! Sometimes we just need to turn off the TV; and open up God’s Word! He cares about you, and He loves you! Put your trust in the hands of the loving Father! Choose hope and not fear today! God bless!
God has placed some scripture in front of me this morning and I want to share that with you! As you read these scriptures, please ask the Lord to give you understanding and discernment. Let God’s Word go deep, and let it take root in your life. God has a robe of peace that He wants to put around you this morning.
Lamentations 3:55-57 says this, “I call on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit. You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.” You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” Psalm 42:11 tells us this, “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed with me? Put your Hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Thank you Lord for your Word.
There is so much going on in our world today. So many are turning their ears to the news, and all the ruckus that is going on all around us, when we should be turning our attention to the Lord! I want to put this in the most simplistic words. Do not fear, place your trust in the One who owns it all! He is my refuge, my high tower, and my fortress. Take you eyes off fear, uncertainty, and place them on the Savior of the world. Lord, cover me and your Church with your robe of peace and hope today. I pray that fear will not overcome us. My trust is in you Lord. Amen! It’s Tuesday, and it time to get it going. God bless.
Welcome to Monday! Another day to serve the Holy God of heaven! I hope you had a great weekend, but I pray you have even a better Monday! Make every day count. Yes, even Monday.
Psalm 145:17-21 says this, “This he Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving towards all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name forever and ever.”
Think about it, everything God does is right. The trademark on all his work is love! He is there, listening to all who pray and call out to Him! He hears our cries. He feels our hurts, and He understands what we go through every day. He always does what is best for those who fear Him. God sticks by all who love Him. Let our mouth be full with God’s praise this Monday morning. Let everything that is living bless Him forever and ever! Look for opportunities to share His amazing love today! Love you guys!!
Good morning! It’s time to worship! Today’s devotion is going to be short and sweet. Jeremiah writes Lamentations 3:22-26 and says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Jeremiah knew of God’s great love, and he has experienced His faithfulness over the years. We will all have hard times and will face difficult situations. But I want to encourage you to rest in the Lord and trust in Him. Let Him carry your heavy load this morning. He will never let you down. Lord, my hope is in You! God bless.
Luke22:31-32 says, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail. When Satan asked to sift Peter his purpose was not to get rid of what was undesired in order to keep the best. His purpose was to shake Peter’s faith so that nothing was left. But God allowed the sifting, but He had a different purpose in mind. And it made all the difference between defeat and victory. The only way we can successfully struggle through these times is to focus on the Author of truth and not on our circumstances. While He May allow us to be tested, God has faithfully promised to never leave us or forsake us.
God has a purpose in sifting us. What is most obvious is this: God uses sifted people. God always has a plan and a purpose for what goes on in our lives. Ephesians 2:10 tell us this, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepares for us to do. He allows us to be sifted in order to bring honor and glory to Himself. God also allows us to be sifted to grow us up! In the process of sifting us, God pushes us beyond our capabilities so that we have to trust Him.
You maybe in the process of being sifted, and you are in that very difficult season of life. Know this, you are not alone and that God is doing a work in you! Hang on and trust Him. What is your response to His sifting? You can rebel. You can blame God. You can run, or you can try you best to jump out of the sifter. I want to encourage you this morning turn to the Lord and ask for strength and wisdom. Lean on Him and get godly counsel. Don’t be afraid to ask your friends to pray for you! Sifting happens for a reason and God has a plan for it. Trust Him, He has your best interest at heart. I hope you have a great weekend.
