Good morning! How is your Thursday? I am dragging but I am moving forward. Let me hear from you today, and if you need prayer please let me know! This is the day that the Lord has made, let us be GLAD and rejoice in it! Let look for the positive today!

As I was praying this morning, God was leading me to pray for Christian people to have a hunger for His Word! The Lord has laid out a buffet of wisdom, knowledge, and priceless treasure at our feet, which is called the Bible! This is the very words of God given to us by the Holy Spirit. But most of the time, it sits on the night stand by our bed. If you are ready for a change in life, grab the Word of God! If you are bored and want something new, grab the Word of God. If you are tired of living a defeated life with no purpose, begin to dig deep into the Word of God!

It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ to wake up! There is a war that is raging all around us and we have to be equipped and ready to fight. Ephesians 6:12-13 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.” Then in verse 17 it says, “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” Our only offensive weapon we have to do battle is the Word of God!

Listen to this promise in Joshua 1:8. “Do not let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. THEN you will be prosperous and successful.” Let us encourage one another to dive into God buffet table! Let us spur on each other to know and to love the Word of God. Ask Him today to give you a passion like never before to study the Word of God! Raise up Church and hold the Word of God close to your heart! Yes!

Peace of God?

It is amazing how the Word of God can change our lives! I was reading in Colossians this morning and I had to stop after verse 17, and go back and read verses 15-17 again and again. I had to ask myself a simple question; Does the peace of Christ rule my heart?

Colossians 3:15-17 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of our Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Does the peace of Christ rule in your heart? That is a tough question to answer so early in the morning! But, what holds you together when things seem to be falling apart all around you? There is so much truth in these 3 verses but so little time to cover it all in a blog! So I will get right to it.

I want to encourage you to do 4 things every day of your life, and watch how God will transform your heart and give you peace.

1. Be thankful! Take time to tell God thank you for all the blessings of life. Have an attitude of gratitude and don’t take His blessings for granted.

2. Take in the Word of God and let it come alive in you! Receive all the wisdom and love that God wants to give us through His Word. This book is a treasure chest of knowledge, wisdom, and Truth!

3. Worship! “Psalm 100:1-5” You and God! Set aside time to praise Him and adore Him. Sing His praises and shout it out, because He is worthy!

4. And whatever you do, do it for the glory of God! It not about me but it all about Him.

Lord, transform our hearts and give us that peace that only comes from you. Thank you Lord for your Book of Truth! Have a great Friday.
